Maple Mustard Dressing

This maple-sweetened dressing tastes amazing in a salad of fresh greens, toasted walnuts, dried cranberries, and chopped onions and apples. Take this opportunity to support local farmers by using a locally-sourced maple syrup.

Maple Mustard Dressing

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons dijon mustard*
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Whisk ingredients together in a small bowl. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Yield: 4 servings

*If you live near northeast Missouri, you can get a local mustard from Sandhill Farm — made with their own harvested Sorghum, garlic, and homemade Sorghum vinegar. You can either order online or find a local distributor in your area (they distribute in MO, IL, IA, MN and MI).
