Another smoothie recipe! As some of you may know from this post, I’ve been making an effort to eat more raw foods lately. I’ve been starting with breakfast and lunch, which means a lot of smoothies. 🙂 I was getting tired of my usual standby, so I tried shaking things up a bit and adding some extra nutrition with this berry-flax smoothie.
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1/4 cup raw cashews
- 2 tbsp. raw sunflower seeds (or more cashews)
- 1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries
- 1/3 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
- 1 tbsp. flax seeds
- 2 tsp. agave nectar
- 1/4 cup filtered water
- optional: 1 cup greens
- Combine water, cashews and sunflower seeds in blender. Add strawberries, blueberries, flax seeds, agave nectar, water and greens (if using). Blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.
