This hot chocolate is so good! It’s everything I want in hot chocolate — rich, sweet, chocolate-y, hot…I adapted this recipe from the hot chocolate recipe in Alicia Silverstone’s The Kind Diet, making it a tad sweeter and using homemade almond milk instead of the soy/rice milk blend.
- 1 cup almond milk (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon bittersweet nondairy chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
Whisk all of the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Heat until the chocolate chips melt, stirring occasionally. Serve hot. 🙂
