My big sissy is a married gal! The wedding was wonderful — couldn’t have gone better. My toast — which I was hyperventilating over up until the moment I had to do it — also, much to my surprise, couldn’t have gone better! But I couldn’t neglect VeganMoFo on only the second day of the month! I, obviously, have been pretty busy all weekend and now I’m completely exhausted, snuggling with my pups now that we’ve been reunited since I left for the hotel in Arnold on Friday, so I’m going to post a pretty simple (but decadent!) recipe in honor of the happy couple.
This recipe isn’t exact, as you can see. The next time I make these, I’ll adjust the proportions, if needed, but I think this should work out fine.
- 1 pint strawberries, rinsed thoroughly (keep tops on)
- 1-2 dark chocolate bars (if you have extra, just drizzle over ice cream, stir into warm nondairy milk for hot chocolate or use as a fondue for chopped apples or other fruit — if you don’t have enough, melt more chocolate or eat the rest of the strawberries naked)
Use a double-boiler to melt the chocolate (I just put a smaller pan in a larger pan with a few inches of water in the larger pan over medium to medium-high heat. Dip (or roll) strawberries in chocolate. Place on plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper to dry. Refrigerate until serving. Serve on a fancy plate and share with someone special!
